Hi, I'm Jade, I am 38 years old.

I was in active addiction for 28 years. I got myself into a dark place and I lost all of my children and my house. My children did not want to talk to me.

I was due to go to Rehabilitation for 12 months but I came out of the program early, because one of my children came to see me with a broken arm, so I only completed 4 months.

It only took me 2 weeks to relapse before I went back to my old self and my old ways.

I was in active addiction for 28 years. I got myself into a dark place and I lost all of my children and my house. My children did not want to talk to me.

I got in touch with Navigo and they directed me to The Comeback.

Here I was advised to go to Narcotics Anonymous. I have been a member of NA for 8 months.

I completed 2 months of sobriety then I relapsed, so I had to start from the beginning.

When I reached 30 days clean, I started doing some step work and attended lots of meetings, I now participate in different roles as part of my recovery.

Recovery has helped me to make positive changes in my life...

'I have found it easier to work on my recovery as I have the support of other people who can understand me and help me'.

I love to do the 'Art in Recovery' workshops and attend many different groups at 'The Comeback' drop-in centre every day.

Thanks to The Comeback, I now understand how to budget and manage my bills.

I am currently 5 months clean and I am in a much better place physically and mentally than I was before.

Recovery is there for anyone that wants it.

Just take it; be free.
